People have said we make pretty good churros.
We started chewy churro to reimagine the churro experience. Testing countless recipes we landed on a bite-sized churro that was chewy in the centre and ultra crispy on the outside. It was so good it didn't even need sugar, and it happened to be vegan.
We looked at the classic churro dipping sauce and upgraded this too. Where everyone served chocolate and caramel, we decided the dips were the star that made the churros really sing. We built an egg-free, silky, custardy dip base that paired perfectly with our super crunchy churro.
In March 2026 we launched chewy churro out of a little food trailer in Hawker, Canberra, in Ngunnawal and Ngambri Country. Our set up was low cost, allowing us to serve you more churros at affordable prices, and with extra capital diverted to indigenous product suppliers, native conservation projects and charities.
chewy churro exists for your end of work day treat, your weekend gatherings, your kids parties, sports events and game nights. We take the pressure off the 'what to bring' with our crowd favourite so you can relax. Our snack ready churros are recommended for anyone over 5 years old.
