When we started chewy churro, we set out to make really good churros by reimagining the entire churro experience. We landed on a unique recipe, frying up an incredibly chewy, and ultra crispy, in a smaller, mini size, that can be customised with different sugars, glazes, dipping sauces and toppings.

We upgraded the classic churro dipping sauce, as this egg-free, silky smooth, thick custardy dip, that paired perfectly with our super crunchy churro. As we did with our churros and dips, we created new hot chocolate flavours and new cold drinks that complemented our offerings.

In May 2026 we launched chewy churro out of a little food trailer in Hawker, Canberra, in the heart of Ngunnawal and Ngambri country. Our set up was low cost, allowing us to serve you more churros at affordable prices, and with extra capital diverted to indigenous product suppliers, native conservation projects and charities.

We exist for your end of work day treat, your weekend gatherings, your kids parties, sports events and game nights. We take the pressure off the 'what to bring' with our crowd favourite so you can relax. Our mini churros are snack ready recommended for anyone over 5 years old.

Turns out, we have many accidentally vegan options too.
